Lovely to meet you!

I thought an introduction about myself and this blog were in order. Here goes...

Ever wish you had a comfortable, familiar friend on your side? Someone who wouldn't judge, wasn't competing with you and wasn't around just for babysitting perks?

I have.

Lonely women are everywhere. Women who are scared to let daily messes show. Women who think they can't let their guards down and share their true selves.

We shouldn't give up on chatting and mingling simply because we haven't finished "getting ready." Are we ever really ready?

The workplace dictum, "Never let 'em see you sweat" has shoved its way into neighborhoods, clubs and PTA's.

This isn't healthy. Women need each other. We need to know we are normal. We need to know our kids are normal. We need to talk about how normal we are!

In current media, if someone doesn't measure up, they are labeled LOSERS. No one wants to be a loser, so everyone tries to be perfect (i.e. fakes it). It's silly. Life isn't perfect and people are not losers.

Have the bullies from 4th grade taken over the grown up world?

It is my mission to provide a kinship. Let's try projects and recipes. Let's discuss whatever we want. And let's do it in an atmosphere of acceptance, encouragement and sisterhood.

Please be yourself here and not worry about impressing anyone.

I hope you will share ideas and ideals (in the comments section).

It's time we are all on the same side.

Oh, my name is Kris and my kitty's litter box needs cleaned.
